  1. Cool list! I agree with all except #12..No, it isn’t time for Black History Month to be diluted into just American History. America , even after 50 years since the Civil Rights Act was enacted, isn’t ready. Yet..

    • Not a disillusion but making people see that it is not just Black History but Black People are just as American and she but talked about in the same lexicon as other American history. The idea black people contributed to the building of America as a whole

      • Ahhh now I see where you’re coming from..Understood..And yes, Blacks contributed very much(greatly) to building America..Literally and in every possible aspect..Also, it is my understanding that when Carter Woodson first began Negro History Week; his intent was for eventually there not to be a need to have a Black History Week(later evolved into a month) For the intent was for public awareness of Black accomplishment /achievement/contribution to society to ‘prove’ we’re equal and etc etc…Sadly, even in the year 2014 that is still not the case. And that is the only reason I am 100 % for Black History Month.

  2. Not sure what if anything Minaj was thinking, but I’m not really surprised. I keep thinking some things in this world are sacred. Apparently not though.

Oh, I’m sure the Jews would’ve just about had Minaj dropped from label had she disrespected.

I don’t think LeBron can ever surpass Jordan but he is definitely headed for “one of the best player ever.”

  3. I don’t know anything about Nikki Manaji (sp) but it seems disrespectful.
I believe anything that grieves my Black ancestors should grieve me. Now, please explain how K. Hart is over exposing?

  4. Interesting list. Notables for your boy: #4. I’d have no problem picking cotton, so long as I’m paid to do it in an OSHA regulated environment. #8 You got me…guess that’s what grandma and xbox are for. #12 No. The powers that be, those that approve text books, still want to argue about teaching creation in science books. Black folks are further down the list.
